I am not a silent poet

When you walk in her shoes you can watch the faces
As you endeavour to do your own laces
When you walk in her shoes you can judge the weather
To keep the shoes, kick them off or wear different all together
When you walk in her shoes, you’ll know the cost
Of wear, tear or whenever one is lost
When you walk in her shoes you’ll feel the fears
Of tripping, falling or being pushed full of tears
When you walk in her shoes you can re-arrange the tongue
To protect, comfort or defend when judgement is flung
When you walk her shoes it doesn’t mean you’ve no faith
When you try many pairs but say no to the eighth
